Vice President of Operations

Jody has 40 years of industry experience and 28 years of dedicated service to Burkely. She holds both CAM and CAPS designations, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and industry best practices. Jody knows the organization deeply, having joined Burkely at the genesis of the current Burkely business model, and plays an integral part in its evolution. She instills in team members the principles that constitute the Burkely model, leading and training by example. Jody is proficient in operationalizing the brand - that is, managing and living it.

Vice President of Development & Acquisition

Stafford joined Burkely as a New Partner in 2021, leading development and investment efforts, primarily focusing on the efficient delivery of our pipeline. He is responsible for identifying, underwriting and securing optimal capital for new investment opportunities. Stafford also leads asset management efforts for Burkely's owned investments to ensure optimal value creation and is responsible for investor relations including developing and implementing strategies to attract and interact with high-fit investors.

• Prior to joining Burkely, Stafford enjoyed a 13 year career in commercial and real estate banking after earning a BS in Business Economics from Wofford College.

Chief Accounting Officer

Paul has served 19 years in the industry and the last 14 with Burkely, supervising and managing financial resources for the company. He supports clients through timely, accurate financial reporting and community managers through stewardship of financial resources. Paul promotes responsible, ethical accounting standards and practices, manages the human resources and accounting teams, and ensures compliance with NC Real Estate Commission rules as Broker-in-Charge.

Senior Management

Donna has nearly 30 years of experience and has served with Burkely for 24 years. She knows the organization deeply, holds the CAM designation and has been integral in building the Burkely model from its earliest days. Donna helps others understand the link between effort and results and analyzes results to identify where improvement is needed. She knows the tools and systems that help an organization understand how to use them to perform at ever-higher levels.

Senior Management

Suzanne supports 29 years of industry expertise, the last 15 of which have been with Burkely. She thrives in—and sees clearly where and how to apply basic, solutions-oriented management practices to varied property management challenges. Suzanne perceptively links performance and results and helps others see the connection. She also leads Burkely's rental homes/commercial management division.

Assistant Vice President of Operations

Tim has 22 years of experience in the industry with 14 years of service at Burkely. He thrives when he is generating and executing ideas and takes pride in leading a team that exceeds expectations. Tim believes leadership is best when built upon integrity and in service to the team.

Director of Marketing

Michelle has 19 years of industry experience with 18 years at Burkely. She has the NALP designation with deep knowledge of the apartment and student rental markets in Clemson, Greenville, Boone, Asheville, and the Piedmont Triad of NC. Michelle has a comprehensive knowledge in apartment/rental advertising and brings a strong understanding of effective apartment marketing (i.e. what works for residents).

Director of Maintenance

Brian has devoted 25 years to the industry and 23 years with Burkely. He has the CAMT designation and sets the Burkely standard in delivering a high-quality, physical environment. Brian serves as the organization's point person in engaging vendors, contractors and suppliers who can help extend the brand.

Regional Manager

Mark has been with Burkely for 11 years and boasts 23 years in the industry. He is a vital and trusted leader in Burkely's Student Housing division and provides leadership and support in areas of Risk Management. Mark possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in the tools and systems that assist universities in managing and overseeing their off-campus housing. He manages budgets for eight properties, analyzing financial reports and ensuring profitability. Mark also stays updated on local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

Operations Coordinator

Carrie has been with Burkely for 14 years and has 25 years in the industry. She holds CALP and CAM designations and possesses thorough knowledge of apartment management operations, employee engagement, and building long term partnerships. Carrie supports corporate team in ensuring objective are met and operations run efficiently.

Human Resources & Accounting Manager

Jordan boasts over 13 years in the industry and holds the CAM designation. She assists all properties and homes with their accounting needs including in-depth knowledge of the management software, Appfolio and Entrata. Jordan is responsible for auditing and financial reporting and collaborates with the Training Director to create a successful employee onboarding experience. She is the point of contact for employees with HR, payroll, and benefits questions.

Director of Learning and Development

Dion has over 14 years of experience in the industry and organizes communications between Aggie Life Apartments and student of North Carolina A&T State University. He assists, develops, and schedules training and onboarding for all staff.

Senior Leasing Agent

Michelle boasts over 23 years of experience in the industry and operates as a licensed North Carolina real estate broker. She is the lead leading agent for the single-family homes division and new business. Michelle has extensive single family home knowledge in the Greensboro market

Community Manager/Rental Homes & Small Communities

Kathleen has over 14 years of experience with Burkely and holds a CAM designation. She oversees the operations of the small communities and rental homes division. Kathleen manages several single family and small community locations. She has extensive areas of experience including student housing, conventional multifamily, renovation, and construction projects.
